Q.01What's a domain, and what's hosting?
Hosting is where your site actually lives, the storefront. That's what Lanlan does, and it's what you're paying us for. A domain is your address, like yourbiz.com, the sign on the door. Domains are sold by domain registrars, not by us.
On the free plan, you get hosting plus a yourbiz.lanlan.site address, so you don't need a domain at all until you want one.
Q.02What am I actually paying for with Pro?
Hosting, plus everything in the table above: your own domain connected for you, payments and donations through Stripe, scheduling and waitlists, multiple collaborators, and the "Made with Lanlan" note gone. $15 a month for each site on its own domain, or $180 a year.
Most builders charge per site and put payments or dynamic content behind higher tiers. With Lanlan, one price gets the whole tool, with no transaction fees on top of Stripe and no ads. The domain is separate, about $10 a year, and we don't make anything on it.
Q.03Do you mark up the domain price?
No, we charge what the domain actually costs plus a small connection markup the registrar charges us. We don't make anything on it. If you don't already have a domain, it's easier to buy through us because it connects automatically, so there are no DNS records to copy, paste, or get wrong. Already own one? Bring it, and you can connect it for free.
Q.04Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free site needs no card. You only pay when you want your own domain or Pro.
Q.05What if I just want the free version?
Go for it. It's a real site, fast and secure, on a global network. The only difference is the address (yourbiz.lanlan.site instead of yourbiz.com) and a small "Made with Lanlan" note in the footer. Plenty of businesses are perfectly happy there.
Q.06Can I cancel?
Yes, one click, no walls. Your free site keeps working, you just lose the paid features. You can also export your whole site as files and take it anywhere.
